Sixteen:Fifteen Does Not Do Missions…….Directly

Sixteen:Fifteen does not do missions directly. That is, we are not a missionary sending or supporting organization. We do missions indirectly, by guiding churches through a highly personalized coaching process. The 3-D process (Discover – Design – Deploy) helps churches forge a strategic missions vision that fulfills the Biblical mandate to make disciples of all the nations, while taking into account their unique gifts, talents and passions as a local body of Christ. We have learned that such a vision can capture the hearts, minds, and imaginations of an entire congregation, thus unleashing their God-given potential to reach the nations.
Here are two of the many reasons we serve churches in this way:
THE PRIMACY OF THE LOCAL CHURCH: We believe that the local church is a God-designed central player in world missions and that Christ gets glory when she is fulfilling His mandate to make disciples of all nations. (Ephesians 3:20-21)THE POTENTIAL OF THE LOCAL CHURCH: We believe that, “The vast majority of all the resources God has entrusted to His people — spiritual gifts, vocational expertise, life experience, capacity for spiritual warfare, financial reserves, etc. — He has placed in local churches…” (George Miley, Loving the Church, Blessing the Nations)
We are witnessing an appreciable enhancement of the energy and capacity of God’s missionary enterprise as more and more local churches become meaningfully involved in fulfilling the Great Commission through the missions coaching process. So in order to tell you our story, we have to tell you the story of those we serve.
